Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, who obtained a master’s in Industrial Engineering in 1972, a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. in Economics from N.C. State University, is one of the most notorious of the global-warming extremist professors who have no training in anything related to climate science. He’s chairman of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is the leading Chicken Little organization on anthropogenic global warming. But…:

What has also almost entirely escaped attention, however, is how Dr Pachauri has established an astonishing worldwide portfolio of business interests with bodies which have been investing billions of dollars in organisations dependent on the IPCC’s policy recommendations.

These outfits include banks, oil and energy companies and investment funds heavily involved in ‘carbon trading’ and ‘sustainable technologies’, which together make up the fastest-growing commodity market in the world, estimated soon to be worth trillions of dollars a year.

Like Al Gore, Pachauri is raking it in, or is expecting to, by pushing the idea of catastrophic global warming. Any reasonable person might think Pachauri’s obvious conflict of interest makes his “science” a little suspect.
