According to the latest State Board of Education contract report, NC taxpayers will fork out a down payment of $25,000 to help Halifax school officials fix the system’s financial mess. The money will pay for the temporary services of a competent school system accountant.
Recall that Halifax County taxpayers are on the hook for well over $800,000. (See previous posts here and here.)
