In response to an article about the suspension of a Texas teacher for inserting Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ posters in her virtual classroom, a Durham County high school social studies teacher announced that he had used a BLM background today.
Calling it a “human rights statement” opens the door to plenty of causes that this teacher likely finds objectionable.
