Update: The surprise was that Butler got to the rim at will, couldn’t finish, but did draw shooting fouls. That kept the Bulldogs in it to the end, but a few more FGs were needed to pull out a win. Not an upset mind you, a win. Nothing flukey about this team.
In fact, if NC State admin had two brain cells to rub together, they’d fire Sid Lowe by noon and offer Brad Stevens whatever he wanted to come to Cow College. And if Coach K takes his trophy and runs to the Nets and a huge payday — especially if Kyle Singler does not come back, a distinct option — dook would be insane not to make its own run at Stevens.
