One of the last things the General Assembly does before adjourning is make appointments to various governmental boards and commissions.  As Rick reported this morning, there are too many of them. Until the General Assembly can pass a bill that limits the number (known around here as The Whack a Seat Act) , the seats will be filled. On Monday or Tuesday of next week, before adjourning the short session, the General Assembly will approve the Speaker’s appointments – found here; and the President Pro Temp’s appointments – found here.

BTW:  Kudos to the North Carolina Museum of Art, who asked for, and got a reduction in their board structure.  Now if we could just get the rest of state government to follow their lead…..
