A North Carolina State University study says a wind farm off the coast of North Carolina “would reduce coastal home rentals and potentially harm tourism,” as the N&O reports.

Perhaps the most revealing discovery in the report is that those with the strongest objections to offshore wind farms also tended to express strong support for wind energy.
Needless to say “some question the methodology and conclusions of the report,” while others believe a wind farm would serve as a tourist destination, complete with “boat tours and brochures at the ice cream shop.”
