The NC Public Schools Application System website, which is maintained by the NC Department of Public Instruction, provides a glimpse of the public school job market in North Carolina. (Please note that the website does not include job listings for the state’s two largest districts, Wake and Charlotte-Mecklenburg. Both districts maintain their own employment websites.)
Today the NC Public Schools Application System lists 1,497 public school jobs available statewide. Of the nearly 1,500 jobs available, approximately two-thirds of them (975) are instructional positions.
