The NC DOT has announced that an announcement was in error. It warned property owners that engineers, surveyors, and geologists would be interloping to collect data for the Southern Loop/NC 107 Connector project. The work is supposedly suspended for at least a year due to the project’s low prioritization. In fact, if Sylva’s town fathers have their say, the project will not proceed at all. The official communications officer for the DOT, who is official enough to have a hyphenated first name, indicates the organization is clueless about “who and how.”
