In the ever increasing corporate giveaway race in North Carolina, another $150,000 in tax money was handed over to a New Bern company to……continue their business in New Bern. There does not appear to be any indication that the company was considering moving anywhere else. They have promised to add 50 new jobs to the 75 they already have. In exchange, the Governor will give them $75,000 in state tax money and, get this, require Craven County to match that amount in local tax money.
That’s another $150,000 taken from taxpayers and given to a company for……what?
