The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education has published its Guide to Free Speech on Campus. Look for the Sandinistas of the professoriate to begin carping about FIRE threatening “academic freedom,” just as N.C. State’s leftist faculty said of David Horowitz’s “carefully chosen language” in his Academic Bill of Rights (carefully chosen so as not to threaten academic freedom but protect rights) and UNC-Chapel Hill’s leftist faculty said of more courses in Western Civilization there.
