Readers of both the Charlotte Observer and News & Observer can look forward to a review this Sunday of John Locke Foundation President John Hood‘s new book, Our Best Foot Forward, which sets out an economic recovery plan for North Carolina. Earlier this week, the Observer promoted Hood’s Aug. 28 speech to Mecklenburg County Young Republicans. Charlotte’s Creative Loafing interviewed Hood for an article about the history of North Carolina Democrats.

The Greensboro News & Record‘s “Mixing It Up” print column and “Thinking Out Loud” blog both cited Hood’s most recent analysis of the debate about compensation for victims of North Carolina’s eugenics-based forced sterilization program. N.C. Senate Republicans promoted in their daily press email Hood’s columns on North Carolina’s underemployment problem, the debate over the state’s public school graduation rate, and the alleged moral superiority of liberal political views.
