Thank you for your partnership with the John Locke Foundation, North Carolina’s home for freedom.
Now at the end of the year, don’t let the bureaucracy punish your generosity. A new U.S. Postal Service rule clarification could cause donors who mail checks in late December to miss out on their expected 2025 charitable deductions. The closer we get to Dec. 31, contributions requiring a 2025 postmark should be brought inside post offices for processing to ensure compliance.
Today, the quickest way to make your tax-deductible donation is to give online.
Many of Locke’s donors have chosen other ways to give — like appreciated stock and cryptocurrency — so please consider the best options for you and consult your own advisors.
The John Locke Foundation is a nonprofit and your contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. Locke does not take government money, and we fight for your conservative values.
Among our 2025 public policy victories, we protected donor privacy in our state through the Personal Privacy Protection Act, ensuring citizens can support nonprofits without fear of retaliation. As CEO Donald Bryson said, the right to freely support nonprofit organizations is a cornerstone of a free society, and donors shouldn’t have their personal information shared with the world.
In 2026, we look forward to doing even more with the partnership of Locke’s Investors community.
