The Guilford County Board of Education heard presentations from different search firms who would help find a replacement for outgoing Superintendent Terry Grier:
Because of the demographics of the district, one firm said board members would need to focus on a slate of multi-ethnic, multi-gendered candidates. Another said strong leadership and interpersonal skills are needed to carry the district to the next level. A business savvy leader and someone with public relations skills are also important characteristics for Guilford, representatives said.
I have to wonder how many “multi-gendered candidates” there are out there. I also have to wonder who came up with that description: the search firm, a school board member or the reporter covering the meeting. No matter, that type of language can be expected from those immersed in the educrat system.
