In the latest batch of opinions released this morning from the N.C. Court of Appeals:

  • A unanimous three-judge panel threw out a trial court’s ruling in the case of a state Highway Patrol trooper who challenged his dismissal over charges that he had “engaged in unacceptable personal conduct in an alcohol-related incident” in 2007.
  • A unanimous three-judge panel ruled in favor of the Granville Health System in a dispute over the fatal injury of a patient who fell off an operating table after surgery.
