  • A unanimous three-judge panel affirmed the N.C. Industrial Commission’s ruling that the Town of Garner must foot the worker’s compensation bill for a Garner police officer who severed his thumb while working at an N.C. State football game.
  • A unanimous three-judge panel affirmed a state agency’s decision in a long-running Certificate of Need controversy involving an Asheville oncology treatment center seeking to relocate operations and to replace and add equipment.
  • A unanimous three-judge panel affirmed a lower-court ruling in favor of the Randolph County town of Franklinville. The case involves a zoning dispute over mobile homes.
