WPTF 680 AM’s half-hour news update just carried a story saying that “Wake County Public Schools have announced they’re ready for the first day of school to begin on Monday.”
Now why is this news? Why were Wake County’s private schools asked if they’re ready for the new school year to begin? Is it because it’s just not news when a private enterprise is open for business on time?
