Yesterday Newsbusters, one of my favorite media-critiquing blogs, pointed to a story by The Associated Press with the headline “April Tax Revenue 2nd-Highest in History” and predicted this:
Of course, given the drive-by media?s penchant against tax cuts, the
question is whether or not this fabulous news will be widely reported.
Not much of a stretch here, but my guess is ?No.?
I just searched my morning News & Observer and, not
surprisingly, that story is nowhere to be found, not on the National
pages and not in the Business section. There were, however, these
headlines:
Fed acts; interest rates rise again
Whirlpool to cut thousands of jobs
S&P, Nasdaq slip
Oil, commodities jump
