The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 7:23-25:

“But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God — through Jesus Christ our Lord!”

And last week in an interview with “Focus on the Family’s” Dr. James Dobson, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said this:

“There were time when I was praying and when I felt I was doing things that were wrong. But I was still doing them. I look back on those as periods of weakness and periods…that I’m not proud of.”

As I wrote today for American Spectator, if Gingrich decides to enter the presidential race, that admission to weakness may help bring along the evangelical vote for him.
