In case you are wondering what the turnout in the swing state of NH is, I can assure you it is not light. I’ve been told through official channels that it is high all over the state. Anectodally, I’ve never seen turnout like this. There are traffic jams at the polling places, with cops directing traffic, and no place to park either in the lots or on the sides of the roads. And this is in the rain.
I’m on the Democratic call lists, and today our phone rang off the hook all day. One call immediately after another. We disconnected the phone. A a few hours later two Kerry/Edwards volunteers were on our porch, asking for me by name and reminding me to go vote. The Dem. machine in NH is in high gear. They are leaving nothing to chance.
