Although Governor McCrory’s budget proposal would fund additional positions in the Office of Charter Schools (to the tune of $320,000 a year), it does not include funds for a private school choice program.
I would have liked to see the McCrory administration signal their support for school choice by setting aside funding for a voucher or scholarship program. You can’t please everyone, I suppose.
