Today, the News & Observer published another op-ed written by Gene Nichol, a professor of law at UNC-Chapel Hill and director of the university’s Center on Poverty, Work & Opportunity. Over the last year, the N&O published eleven (11) of his op-eds on a variety of topics (see The Nichol List below). This does not count the number of times that N&O reporters and editors quoted him.
I do not care that Nichol’s columns promote liberal or progressive ideas. After all, he is writing for the N&O. I simply request that N&O editors provide some balance. Perhaps monthly columns from, say, Mike Munger would do the trick. Just a thought.
