Color me extremely skeptical that the Charlotte Bobcats change ownership soon. Not unless Bob Johnson has radically changed his price point for the team and has basically agreed to finance the transaction in exchange for getting out from under future losses.
Much more than the timing and price, what interests me is the extent to which any city or CRVA officials have been involved in the negotiations. Has George Postolos been promised any “improvements” to the city’s deal with the NBA to operate the Uptown Arena?
Guess we’ll just have to wait until the smoke clears. Assuming there is any fire.
