Why not? When protesters block lawful travel and pelt an automobile with various objects, surely causing some damage, why should they not be arrested? Is there a political waiver that allows criminal conduct for ideological reasons?
Likewise, in the post below about bicyclists, the San Francisco police stood by while $5,300 worth of damage was done to a minivan by anarchist bicyclists. Why was no one arrested in that incident? Don’t cops and city officials understand that not punishing crime is the same as encouraging it?
