An overwhelming majority of local teachers said they do not want the Cherokee County School Board to pursue district accreditation. More than half who were polled did not think the Southern Association of American Colleges and Schools held schools accountable to higher standards.
Although my failure to equate “more than half” with an “overwhelming majority” could be symptomatic of my need for quality programming, I congratulate those who voted to spend dollars on teaching instead.
