The City of Lexington has been awarded a $700,000 ‘strategic planning grant’ for a downtown transportation hub. The grant was announced by the office of Sen. Kay Hagan. Glad to see she’s doing something.

Davidson County Foundation’s William Deal says “this is a big deal.” Once the bureaucrats get paid off, Lexington will “have a shovel-ready project.”

But now we know there is no such thing as a shovel ready project.
