Harvard history professor James T. Kloppenberg tells us in the latest Newsweek that if we really want to know what motivates President Obama, we should read ? or re-read ? his books. We would learn all about the nonideological reformer ?committed to a Christian tradition that prizes humility and social service over dogmatic statements of unbending principle.?

Does this sound like the president you?ve come to know? How about this characterization:

Throughout his career, Obama has refused to demonize his opponents. Instead, he has sought them out and listened to them. He has tried to understand how they think and why they see the world as they do.

Nope, no demonization there, from the man who prizes humility.
