From Saturday’s Raleigh News & Observer comes an Associated Press story about a Vermont high school teacher who gave a quiz that included this question, in which students had to select the correct word to finish the sentence:
“I wish Bush would be (coherent, eschewed) for once during a speech, but there are theories that his everyday diction charms the below-average mind, hence insuring him Republican votes.”
