Site Selection magazine, directed towards companies and big dealmakers looking for the most lucrative taxpayer funded programs available, have declared North Carolina a winner in the corporate giveaway race, again. See the report in today’s Triad Business Journal.
In Site Selection?s May issue, Greensboro-based Honda Aircraft Co. project got an honorable mention in its top economic development deals of 2007 list. As you may recall, Honda got over $8 million in state and local taxpayers? money. Google also got a mention in the top 10 list for their hard fought $212 million take, courtesy of North Carolina taxpayers.
So if you?re a company looking for the most generous taxpayers in the country to subsidize your business, Site Selection magazine says North Carolina is the place to come.
