At least 27 members of Congress who received money from ethically challenged Democrat Charlie Rangel of New York have contributed the money to charity rather than continue to be tied to Rangel, according to the Washington Examiner. Among them is 8th District Democrat Larry Kissell, who received $14,000 from the disgraced former chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.

But while Kissell is trying to put some distance between himself and the Harlem Democrat, a couple of others haven’t been so moved. Sen. Kay Hagan and 11th District Democrat Heath Shuler also received money from Rangel but have not given the money back nor announced intentions to do so, according to the Washington Examiner report.
