Regardless of the current economic downturn, state government faces a number of serious, long-term transportation challenges. That was a key message transportation expert David Hartgen delivered today to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.
From outdated funding sources to a misguided emphasis on transit to an overly large and inefficient transportation board structure, the state has plenty of problems to tackle in the years ahead, Hartgen said.
