The parents of two Northern Guilford High School basketball players who were ruled ineligible following Guilford County Schools’ investigation have filed suit to have the kids reinstated, claiming GCS denied them their due process.

Note the majority of commenters don’t think the suit’s legit —- but the fact that James Gant and Asad Lamot were summoned to the principal’s office where none other that Superintendent Mo Green informed them they had to transfer is yet another example of the investigation’s heavy-handedness. What can I say, it just bothers me.

You can probably expect a lawsuit from former custodian Louis Lawson, who was fired by the school board following accusations that he was given the job so his son could play basketball at Northern. Remember Lawson claimed he was interrogated for several hours by school system attorney Jill Wilson.
