The Boone Town Council is the latest to struggle with the age-old dilemma of striking the right balance between democratically holding public hearings and efficiently advancing the dialogue.

Last night, I dreamed a special-needs person I know took the mic for public comment. City council wanted to know how to greenwash a project. Well, this girl got up and said if they wanted to serve the triple bottom line, they would just go and build and avoid all the carbon and money wasted in designs, redesigns, engineering, PR, etc., etc. Actually, what she said was way over my head, but that is the gist of what I thought she was saying.
