If the $427 million school bond vote had been a prize fight, it would’ve been stopped early on a TKO. A Little League baseball game, the skunk rule would’ve kicked in. What looked to be a fairly close vote going in turned out to be a blow out. Not even a package heavily weighted to the crowded Southern burbs was enough to overcome manifest upset with the CMS administration and the overall direction of local schools.
There is simply no denying voters delivered a stinging rebuke to the Ed Center’s all is well refrain, setting up some titanic struggles in the near future on school funding and operation.
