I thought today was Valentine’s Day, not April Fool’s Day.
Since 2003, leaders from N.C. A&T and UNCG have been planning a scientific and educational research center at A&T’s farm off East Lee Street in east Greensboro.
They have a fancy name — Gateway University Research Park. They have millions of dollars from the state. They even have detailed drawings, outlining locations of buildings, parking lots and trees.
But then Gateway director John Merrill tells the N&R “it’s unclear what type of research will take place at the park.”
He’s kidding, right?
