Guilford County Commissioner Jeff Phillips will announce his candidacy for the 6th District Congressional seat currently held by the living legend Rep. Howard Coble.
Phillips announcement comes less than a week after fellow Commissioner Bruce Davis announced his run for Coble’s seat. Phillips is a Republican, while Davis is a Democrat. Phillips is considered to be the most conservative commissioner on Guilford’s board even if –as the Rhino’s John Hammer maintains— conservatism no longer resides in Guilford County.
