Wake County Schools boast that their 82.2 percent graduation rate was second highest among the nation’s largest school districts. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves – nearly two out of every ten students do not graduate from Wake County Schools in four years. On the other hand, Charlotte-Mecklenburg has a graduation rate of 56.0, so within North Carolina, Wake fares well.

Detroit had the lowest graduation rate: 21.7 percent. Holy cow!
