Apparently, some people upset by Jillian Bandes’ last Daily Tar Heel column, in which she wrote graphically in support of racial profiling of Arabs at airports because “while most Arabs are not terrorists, sadly, most terrorists are indeed Arab,” have made death threats against the Arabs quoted in Bandes’ column.
Such a violent, seemingly self-defeating reaction reminds me of the response to The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (which I haven’t read), especially the fellow who wished the following about author Robert Spencer: “May Allah rip out his spine from his back and split his brains in two, and then put them both back, and then do it over and over again. Amen.”
