According to a recent survey, the Pittsburgh Steelers have the best female fan base. Yes, indeed, 34 percent of women in Pittsburgh identify themselves as fans, nearly twice the average. Green Bay and Buffalo round out the top three.
A few female Steelers fans respond here. I like the comment from Kathleen Kost of Charlotte, “As evidenced by the sea of Terrible Towels waving over 75% of the Bank of America stadium at the Steelers vs. Panthers game last December, once a Steelers fan, always a Steelers fan…I have lived in Charlotte for almost 12 years but am now, and will always be, a die-hard Steelers fan.”
