The Winston-Salem takes its shot at Rep. Virginia Foxx:

Foxx’s comment Monday about terrorists was so outrageous that it made national news. We doubt that many of the survivors of those killed on Sept. 11, 2001, see the Democrats’ health-care reform bill as more dangerous than a terrorist.

After Foxx makes her outrageous statements, we’re left to ponder her motivation. Are these remarks calculated to fire up the fringe in order to raise campaign contributions? It worked for Grayson, and before him, Rep. Joe “You lie” Wilson of South Carolina.

What does seem certain is that Foxx will continue to shock and embarrass her constituents with outrageous remarks. And with her party lacking leadership, there’s no one to tell her to stop.

However, the editorial does mention Rep. Alan Grayson’s comment that the Republican health care plan is “Don’t get sick. And if you do get sick, die quickly.”
