Maybe you can make a case for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama winning a “spoken word” Grammy for reading their autobiographies for CD. But Al Gore? The man with the most annoying speaking voice since Truman Capote? When he wins for reading, you know the fix is in.

UPDATE: I’m told by a colleague that, unlike Clinton and Obama, Al Gore didn’t read the audio version of his book, “An Inconvenient Truth.” It was Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Nixon and Blair Underwood. Which begs the question: Why did Al Gore win the Grammy?

UPDATE2: D’oh. The actual readers were mentioned in the original link I used. Should have read all the way down.
