Anyone who’s been reading the Greensboro News & Record for awhile knows that government reporter Joe Killian is a pretty liberal guy.

That said, I read his coverage of Republican presidential contender Donald Trump’s visit to Concord with an open mind. Surprise— I detected a bit of bias:

A crowd of several thousand greeted Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump at the Cabarrus Arena on Monday, but Trump had a difficult time getting through his rambling, near-stream-of-consciousness stump speech because he had to pause every few minutes for the ejection of protesters.

What Trump had to say at the rally — in between interruptions — was short on detail and long on invective. Bouncing from issue to issue, abandoning one train of thought only to circle back later, he got the most applause when attacking enemies — from GOP primary rivals and illegal immigrants to ISIS and American corporations he considers unpatriotic.

Whatever— and let’s be honest—I watched Trump’s press conference following his victories in Little Tuesday’s primaries and sometimes he does lapse into a stream of consciousness style of speaking.

But if want to know what Killian really thinks of Trump—and his supporters—check out this blog post, which is as long—if not longer—than the article. If you don’t have time –understandably– I’ll sum it up—bunch of rednecks who “couldn’t have less in common with Donald Trump” doing a bunch of hootin’ and hollerin’.
