Fearing a voter coup, though not too terribly worried about accusations of unnecessary gingerbread trimming infiltrating the proposal, Wake County school administrators proposed a $994 million school building plan to the school board.  One of the cost-saving techniques used by administrators, converting a number of schools to a year-round calendar, may not be necessary.  If parents resist this proposal, but still want a low bond, administrators would do well to consult Terry Stoops’s Spotlight, highlighted in the Franklin Times.  Once the schools are up and running, and if they’re interested in saving more money, they might look into cutting the burgeoning bureaucracy in personnel hiring.
