The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette predicts that incumbent Democrat John Murtha will defeat Republican Bill Russell in Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District.
Murtha called his constituents in western Pennsylvania “racists” and “rednecks” in the weeks leading up to the election. Apparently, it is possible to insult your constituency without alienating them.
