Let me say something to those —my father included — who say it can’t get any worse than the last eight years. Remember we followed eight years of Nixon-Ford —not exactly salad days —- with Jimmy Carter in a fit of retribution. I’m not saying Obama will be a Carter — I certainly hope not, should he win the election. I’m just stating historical fact.
