Roy Cordato makes a companion point to my observation that Charlotte is no kind of model for the rest of the nation when it comes to economic recovery. Dr. Roy:

Forgive Roy, he is not from around here. He does not understand that Charlotte habitually brags about things no one in their right mind would brag about. Like $3b. worth of rail transit even city officials now admit will have no impact at all on congestion or air quality.
