Jimmy Fallon continues to poke fun at Obamacare, as the Daily Caller reports.
Jimmy Fallon apparently didn’t get the White House memo that the debate about Obamacare is over.
Despite President Barack Obama’s grand proclamations that Obamacare is performing wonderfully, the late night comedian continued to ridicule the president’s signature achievement with not just one, but two searing jokes on Monday night’s edition of NBC’s “Tonight Show.”
“This Thursday is the deadline for Iran to meet a series of measures to delay its nuclear program,” Fallon said, setting up his first Obamacare joke. “Yea and then Iran said, ‘you mean deadline, deadline? Or sign up for Obamacare deadline? Because that thing had extensions — it was like a long deadline. I mean, that thing had more extensions than ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta.’”
Minutes later, Fallon brought up Dr. Dre’s pending sale of his Beats Electronics to Apple for $3.2 billion.
“That’s right, Dr. Dre got $3 billion from Apple,” Fallon said. “He’s actually the first doctor to make any money since Obamacare passed.”
At times, Fallon has been brutal in his comedic assaults on Obamacare, even occasionally going after the law’s intellectual foundation. For instance, in April, after President Obama claimed that 7.1 million people had signed up for insurance on the the Obamacare exchanges, Fallon quipped: “It’s amazing what you can achieve when you make something mandatory and fine people if they don’t do it and then keep extending the deadline for months.”
