Hey, not bad for an amateur. I kept the towns together and created two minority majority districts — Second and Third — although the Second is just barely so. Had to stuff all of Mint Hill in the Fourth along with most of East Charlotte — but if memory serves — that it not too far off from the latest HS attendance zones. So I’ve got that going for me.
Also managed to end up with three D and three R districts, based on 2010 voting — although that was not something I tried to hit. Go back to to 2008, and District 1 flips to D too. The largest district is only about 14K bigger than the largest — just within the 15,327 requirement.
Try to do better. The online tool is a little black-boxy, but very powerful.
