Lake Junaluska may merge with the Town of Waynesville. Advantages listed include “being a larger and possibly stronger town,” and disadvantages include “losing autonomy and identity.” This is according to a study commissioned by the Lake Junaluska Assembly, which “is intentionally silent on finances.”
