The Triangle Business Journal, in an unscientific poll, asked ?What does downtown Raleigh need most?? 942 folks responded and 26% said a sports arena. What they didn?t ask was ?How much in extra taxes would you be willing to pay to build a sports arena?? They also didn?t ask ?Would you mind paying extra taxes to build an arena for sporting events that you couldn?t afford to attend?? or ?Should private property, churches and businesses be taken by the government in order to build a sports arena??
Other top answers include another major company?s headquarters, a full fledged grocery store, more parking and a movie theatre ? all good answers for free marketers.
What does downtown Raleigh need the most?
