Carolina Journal Managing Editor Rick Henderson is scheduled to appear on WPTF this morning to discuss the latest developments in the federal investigation of former U.S. Sen. John Edwards. Daren Bakst, JLF Director of Legal and Regulatory Studies, discussed a controversy over House Bill 2, the North Carolina Health Care Protection Act, with Matt Mittan on WWNC. Mitch Kokai, Director of Communications, also discussed the H.B. 2 controversy and state and county budget issues during his regular monthly appearance with Curtis Wright on WAAV/WFNC. WTVD Television viewers watched Kokai critique Perdue’s decision to name recently defeated U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge, D-2nd District, as the state’s stimulus “czar.” Becki Gray, Vice President for Outreach, discusses legislative issues and Charlotte’s role as host of the 2012 Democratic national convention during her latest appearance on Curtis Media Group’s “People And Politics” program. In addition to her radio work, Gray continues her travels. She spoke this week in Raleigh as part of FreedomWorks’ statewide legislative issues tour. Michael Sanera, Director of Research and Local Government Studies, also hit the road this week. He discussed former President Ronald Reagan’s legacy in a presentation to the Western Wake Republican Club. Speaking of public events, the Federalist Society is promoting Bakst’s March 10 presentation at the JLF office on the N.C. Supreme Court.
